This is a strategic leadership role for a seasoned operations executive with transport, air cargo, and cross-functional business experience. You’ll be responsible for driving efficiency, risk management, and operational excellence across a national logistics business. About the Role As COO, you’ll collaborate with the CEO and executive team to drive operational strategy, lead performance transformation, and ensure scalable systems, compliance, and efficiency across the company. You’ll oversee all business operations, ensure regulatory alignment, and lead teams across multiple regions and departments. What You’ll Do Shape operational strategy and ensure performance delivery Lead and mentor cross-functional operational teams Oversee systems, process optimisation, and workflow improvements Manage customer service, supplier relationships, and SLAs Drive cost control, risk management, and regulatory compliance Lead budgeting and business continuity strategies Monitor productivity, efficiency, and operational analytics Champion culture, leadership, and technology advancement What You Bring Bachelor’s in Business, Logistics, or equivalent 10+ years’ experience in transport, logistics, or aviation 5+ years in a senior leadership or COO-type role Strong business acumen across supply chain, finance, and compliance Experience with customer and vendor contracts, SLAs, and analytics High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems Excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, and people management What Success Looks Like High-performing operations aligned to business strategy Regulatory excellence and risk mitigation in place Cross-functional alignment and engaged, productive teams Growth through operational excellence and innovation
