Job Description : PORT MANAGER GALICIA SPAIN Open to International candidates If you have a degree in industrial engineering or similar fields, significant experience and knowledge in industrial port management, and are looking for a change, this is your opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES: Its main responsibility will be to organize, control, and manage the Spanish Aluminum Port in coordination with port authorities and various administrations. Receive raw materials and export finished products from the plants, ensuring the port operates under the best conditions of safety, environment, profitability, and operability. FUNCTIONS: Carry out, authorize, and control maritime operations and port services to ensure their efficient, safe, economic, and productive development. Organize the port service area, plan and schedule its development. Control maritime beaconing and signaling in accordance with the law and the administrative concession that governs us. Develop emergency plans, security plans, and the various regulations necessary for the proper functioning of the port. Establish the rates applicable to the different services provided. Control all vessels transporting dangerous goods in accordance with current legislation. Coordinate business activities with the various administrative institutions involved in port activities. Manage and control the various port services: pilotage, mooring, stevedores, tugboats, etc. Promote staff training and develop studies related to port activity. Monitor safety and environmental protection. Plan and control operations, their performance according to the characteristics of the vessel, the type of cargo, the means to be employed, the possibility of overtime work, etc. Regulate the berthing order of vessels, designate the docks where they must dock and operate, designate their anchorage, etc. Reduce delays in starting operations, losses in usage rates, etc. Controlling damage caused to or by vessels: assessment and repair. Issuance of enforcement proceedings, seizure of vessels, etc. Comply with regulations and the EHS Management System. Ensure the correct execution of work, as well as compliance and continuous improvement of environmental management Participate in the development of procedures and work instructions that affect your department. REQUIREMENTS: Degree in nautical, industrial and/or similar engineering. Advanced professional English and Spanish (Minimum C1). Extensive knowledge of industrial port operations, maritime transport, and maritime administration. Extensive experience in industrial port management (6+ years). Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. Ability to act with initiative in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
