Job Description : LOGISTICS MANAGER PERU FOR MINING Open to Spanish speaking candidates worldwide oversees all aspects of the supply chain, from sourcing and transportation to warehousing and distribution, ensuring efficient movement of materials and equipment to support mining operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, often involving collaboration with various teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Management: Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with the mining company's objectives, including sourcing, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze and optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize disruptions. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory, ensuring materials are available when needed. Transportation Management: Oversee the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Warehousing and Distribution: Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to logistics. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the logistics team, providing guidance and support to ensure they are effectively performing their duties. Performance Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in logistics operations. Budget Management: Manage and control logistics budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively. Specific Mining Industry Context: Remote Site Logistics: Manage the transportation and supply of materials and equipment to remote mining sites, often in challenging environments. Bulk Material Logistics: Handle the logistics of large-scale bulk materials, such as ore, coal, or other mined resources. Safety and Environment: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to logistics operations, including transportation and storage of hazardous materials. Collaboration with Mining Operations: Work closely with mining operations teams to coordinate logistics activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
