Division Manager

Job Description : DIVISION MANAGER QATAR FOR STEEL FABRICATION AND MANUFACTURING To lead the present operation and team. Provide required guidance & leadership to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the existing production operations and be fully responsible for the technical and commercial operations of a separate profit centre (SBU) within the group. Roles and Responsibility: · Manage the overall steel fabrication operations at the factories by offering technical and commercial leadership to perform as a separate Profit Center (SBU). · Responsible for the Balance Sheet of the SBU including preparation of operational & development budgets. · Prepare a long-term strategic plan and be responsible for achieving top and bottom lines as well as growth set by the executive management. · Familiar with of advanced steel fabrication machineries like CNC machines and modern welding technology including usage of Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) robotic welding machines etc and software like Tekla ,SAP etc . · Conduct periodical production review meetings and prepare MIS reports for executive management. · Oversee the activities relating to factory optimization including coordination with clients ,design consultants, contractors, vendors and machinery suppliers. · Manages financial objectives by accurately developing manufacturing and maintenance budgets; evaluating, recommending and managing expenditures; analysing variances and controlling cost; and proactively initiates corrections when indicated. · Liaison with the client on critical aspects of contract management to understand the client’s requirements on execution methods, quality & safety requirements on an ongoing basis. · Direct and maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality, delivery and cost targets are met. Drive hiring, training and development, succession planning, performance and salary management and terminations. Ensure that responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities of direct subordinates are defined and understood. · Balance the day-to-day business while driving strategic manufacturing excellence initiatives. Continuously assess progress and revise operating plans as needed to meet objectives · Conduct market survey and develop new lines of fabrication activities to exploit market opportunities, including regular meeting with potential clients, registration of the company with new clients and increase market share. · Conceptualize the macro project job at the contracting stage and develop project structure in alignment with project requirements. · Identify and Implement best in class industry practice related to machines, planning, automation, quality and production cost. Requirements · Degree in Mechanical Engineer /Product Engineer /Industrial Engineer or equivalent · Additional education may include specialized trainings, professional certifications, workshops and seminars relevant to industry · Minimum of 12 to 15 years’ experience in senior managerial role independently managing fabrication workshop and manufacturing facility · A strong desire to take ownership and accountability for leading a steel fabrication industry · Possesses excellent knowledge with regard to economic screening through conceptual design, tendering process and pricing, detailed engineering, procurement and construction to commissioning · Nationality : Any
