What you'll do: As a Civil/Structures Project Engineer, your role will be pivotal in assessing design of Structure works on road and pedestrian networks in Wellington. You will assist the Team Leader, Civil/Structures with the development, design, and construction of projects related to the upgrade of Transport Infrastructure. Your role includes managing external consultants and contractors for the delivery of these works. You will also play a key role in public consultation processes, working closely with other members of the Transport Infrastructure team and other stakeholders. What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Civil/Structures Project Engineer role brings a wealth of experience in civil engineering, particularly in relation to transport infrastructure. Your strong project management skills will be crucial in planning, scheduling, and organising various projects. Your ability to negotiate and control works and professional services contracts will ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, from council staff to external service providers.
