Safety, Health & Risk Manager

Job Description : Safety, Health & Risk Manager for a world-renowned copper mining company in Africa. In this role, you'll design and implement enterprise-wide strategies for safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee governance frameworks aligned with international standards. Your mission is to cultivate a "Zero Harm" safety culture, ensure operational compliance, and contribute to long-term sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage HSE governance and risk frameworks. Lead site-wide safety and health initiatives. Ensure alignment with global standards and legal requirements. Drive performance improvement through audits, reporting, and training. Support emergency medical and occupational health services. Promote stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration. Requirements: Minimum 15 years' experience in mining/engineering HSE, with 5+ in senior leadership. National Diploma in any of the Safety, Risk or equivalent (SHEQ / Risk Management) or Engineering or Mining Strong knowledge of HSE laws, risk management, and operational safety systems. Proven leadership in managing large teams and complex safety programs. Fluency in English required; French/Swahili is an asset.
