Job Description : LOGISTICS MANAGER NIGERIA 15+ years experience Oversee the planning, routing, and scheduling of company vehicles, including trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, and plant support equipment. Ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of fleet assets to meet production and delivery schedules. Monitor vehicle tracking systems (GPS/Telematics) to ensure real-time visibility and compliance. Implement policies to optimize fuel consumption and reduce idle time. Maintenance & Repairs Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. Coordinate with internal maintenance teams and third-party service providers for repairs and parts procurement. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and ensure vehicles are compliant with Nigerian regulatory requirements (e.g., FRSC, VIO). Implement strategies to reduce vehicle downtime and extend asset lifecycle. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with local transport regulations, safety standards, and internal company policies. Conduct regular audits of fleet condition and driver performance. Investigate and report accidents or incidents and enforce corrective actions. Promote safety training and awareness among drivers and operators. Team Leadership & Coordination Manage and mentor a team of drivers, mechanics, and fleet supervisors. Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, costs, KPIs, and risk assessments for senior management.
