15 yearsJob Description : Plant Head LVP Injectable Manufacturing Location: Uganda Reports to: Director Benefits - Tax Free Salary in USD + Food + Transport Facility + Accommodation + Visa + Tickets + 30 Days Paid Leave Interested candidate should have experience in handling complete Plant & keen to work for a plant from scratch Job Purpose: To lead and manage the overall operations of the LVP Injectable manufacturing facility ensuring adherence to quality, regulatory compliance, productivity, cost-efficiency, safety, and timely delivery goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations Management · Lead end-to-end operations of the LVP injectable plant including production, planning, engineering, quality assurance, and EHS. · Ensure optimal utilization of resources for efficient production. · Oversee daily plant activities, production schedules, and resource planning. 2. Regulatory & Compliance · Ensure full compliance with cGMP, USFDA, EU-GMP, MHRA, WHO-GMP, and other global regulatory standards. · Handle regulatory inspections, audits, and timely closure of observations. · Develop and implement SOPs, quality policies, and training programs. 3. Quality & Safety · Establish and monitor strict quality control measures and preventive maintenance protocols. · Promote a culture of safety and implement best practices for occupational health and safety. · Review quality KPIs and CAPAs for continual improvement. 4. Leadership & Team Development · Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams. · Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. · Assess team performance and identify training needs. 5. Cost & Budget Management · Develop and manage plant budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives. · Monitor inventory, procurement, and vendor management to ensure uninterrupted operations. 6. Strategic Initiatives · Collaborate with corporate leadership on expansion projects, capacity enhancement, and technology transfers. · Drive automation and digitization efforts for improved efficiency. Key Skills & Competencies: · In-depth knowledge of sterile manufacturing, especially LVP injectable processes (FFS, BFS, Blow-fill-seal). · Strong understanding of international regulatory requirements. · Leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. · Analytical mindset with strategic thinking. Educational Qualifications: · B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.E / B.Tech (Chemical/Mechanical) / M.Sc in a relevant discipline · MBA/PGDM in Operations (preferred) Experience: · 15-20 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in LVP injectables.
