Job Description : Deputy General Manager – Operations | Steel Industry | Abidjan We're looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager – Operations to lead plant operations at our steel manufacturing facility in Abidjan. This is a strategic role overseeing production, maintenance, quality, safety, logistics, and cost control. ???? Industry Experience Required: Steel / TMT / Structural Steel ???? Location: Abidjan, Ivory Coast ????? Languages: English, French & Hindi (Mandatory) ???? Joining: Immediate ???????????????????????? & ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????: - ? Full plant P&L ownership. ? Technical expertise in steel melting, rolling mills, and material handling systems. ? Strong EHS and statutory compliance knowledge. ? Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ? Government liaison and statutory compliance knowledge. ? Lean/Six Sigma/TPM methodologies. ? Multicultural team leadership. ? French-speaking and understanding of West African labor norms. ? Excellent communication and crisis management skills. ? Strong leadership and factory operations expertise. Qualifications: ???? Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production Engineering (MBA preferred) ???? 20+ years in steel manufacturing, 8–10 years in senior roles ???? Minimum 8–10 years in senior leadership roles (as Plant Head / GM Operations) ???? Proven expertise in TMT bars/structural steel operations
