Sales Head 
20 yearsJob Description : SALES HEAD NIGERIA To lead and drive the sales function for construction equipment & Truck across Nigeria by developing and executing strategic plans, managing the sales team, expanding market presence, and achieving sales and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution Develop and implement nationwide sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, and partnerships. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to anticipate market trends. Sales Management Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional sales managers, executives, and support staff. Set, monitor, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Monitor dealer/distributor performance and optimize channel partnerships. Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, construction companies, government agencies, and industrial clients. Participate in high-level sales negotiations and contract closures. Lead tenders, RFQs, and bidding processes for public and private sector clients. Product & Market Expansion Collaborate with product and service teams to tailor offerings to customer needs. Identify gaps in product portfolio and recommend new product introductions. Customer Relationship Management Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and post-sales support. Resolve escalated client issues in a timely and effective manner. Reporting & Compliance Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Preferred candidate profile Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, • MBA in Marketing or International Business is an advantage. Experience Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales of construction equipment (excavators, loaders, cranes, etc.) or Commercial Vehicles like Truck/Bus/Tipper At least 5 years in a leadership/senior sales management role, NIGERIA Sales Experience is MUST Skills Sales Acumen: Strong ability to drive sales, negotiate deals, and close high-value contracts. Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Nigerian market, dealer networks, and customer behavior. Leadership: Excellent team leadership and people management capabilities. Networking: Strong existing network with contractors, construction firms, and government procurement bodies. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends, sales data, and financial metrics. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence and present effectively. Tech Savvy: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office, and reporting tools. Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment with frequent travel across Nigeria. Preferred Attributes Experience with OEMs or authorized dealerships (e.g., Caterpillar, JCB, Komatsu, Volvo, Liebherr, MAN, Tata, Leyland etc) • Familiarity with import/export regulations and equipment leasing/financing models. • Fluency in English; knowledge of local Nigerian languages is a plus.
