Job Description : PROCUREMENT MANAGER NIGERIA FOR GREENFIELD PETROCHEMICALS 15-20 years experience Procurement Manager for Greenfield projects - (Butane BDH, Propane to Polypropylene, Methanol, Methanol to Propylene/ Ethylene, Ethanol, Methanol to propylene/Ethylene, Propylene/Ethylene to polypropylene/polyethylene) Roles and Responsibilities Sourcing Strategy: Formulate, devise and maintain appropriate Sourcing by appropriately applying the concepts needed to determine/develop sourcing strategies and to modify those existing strategies as required by changing business and market conditions. · Benchmarking: Benchmarking through use of an on-going process of comparing and contrasting quantitative results (e.g. cost, quality, etc.) and processes by using zero based costing, cost break analysis to determine and arrive at "best in class & benchmark costs"; then identifying and implementing appropriate plans to deliver "best in class" results that meet the business needs. · Business Partner Relationship Management: Managing relationships with our key internal Business by devising joint contract agreements, fulfilling the key areas of concerns like timely payments, organizing third party inspections, visits to factories, Meetings etc.. · Commercial Agreements: Drafts and executes (in partnership with Legal) pertinent written agreements for on-going requirements (purchase orders, leases, Contracts, etc.); and collaborates on establishment of pertinent agreements for development requirements · Industry Analysis: Industry Analysis provides the Company with competitive advantage by obtaining and analysing information on industry supply/demand dynamics, production technology and cost structure which is used to build effective sourcing strategies, cost forecasts, and negotiation positions. · Cost Control Analysis: Lead & conduct cost reduction analysis by identifying alternate sources,vendors, patners for supply &, services by gathering and using information about competitors' materials, technologies, supply base, sourcing strategies, suppliers, material costs, and · Competitive Bidding: Competitive bidding, including pre-inquiry meetings, to insure our price competiveness in the market place thus deliver business results and a competitive advantage. · Economic Analysis: Procurement forecasts costs, availability and trends of raw material purchased and anticipate significant short and long-term changes which may impact our sourcing · Negotiation: Plans and carries out negotiations, including development of negotiation objectives/ goals/strategies/tactics to achieve required business results with consideration for desired impact on new and existing supplier relationships. · Supporting Site installation teams by maintaining minimum stock of spares, consumables, tools and tackles. Selling and disposing off the scrap to reconcile material during site completion and issue of No dues, site completion certificates.
