Unit Head

Job Description : UNIT HEAD EDIBLE OIL DRC Oversee day-to-day operations of the plant, including crushing, refining, and solvent extraction of mustard and soya oil. Ensure continuous production at optimum capacity while maintaining quality, safety, and cost efficiency. Monitor and manage the entire production cycle from seed processing (crushing) to oil extraction, refining, and final product packaging. Lead process improvement initiatives across the crushing, refining, and solvent extraction operations to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance energy efficiency, evaluate and introduce new technologies. Oversee the development and maintenance of strict quality control standards for raw materials, in-process products, and finished edible oils. Lead a team of plant managers, engineers, supervisors, and operators to ensure high levels of efficiency, productivity, and morale. Supervise the maintenance of critical equipment involved in crushing, refining, and extraction processes to prevent unplanned downtime. Prepare and manage the plant's annual budget, ensuring that financial goals are met while maintaining production efficiency. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the plant. Provide strategic inputs to senior management for decision-making, including production forecasts, cost analysis, and operational performance reports. IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are seeking an accomplished Unit Head with deep expertise in the crushing, refining, and solvent extraction of edible oils—particularly mustard and soya oil. Experience in edible oil industry is mandatory. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and automation in a manufacturing setup.
