Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : CFO IVC We are currently recruiting for a CFO for Africa, responsible for directing and controlling the finance resources in order to drive the short and long term performance of the region. Acting as the business partner to the VP for Africa and working closley with the VP, CFO Global Cocoa, the role supports and advises regional management in operational decision-making processes by pro-actively providing insights on opportunities and risks as well as the respective financial impact. This role manages and oversees all financial activities in the region (Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Ghana, Tanzania and Nigeria) to ensure that the organization’s short and long term business objectives are achieved in compliance with local regulations, internal controls and group policies. The Africa CFO will be instrumental in ensuring financial discipline, proper monthly closing and monitoring of budgets and ensuring the integrity and financial control of the organization. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to play a key role at regional level within a global, dynamic and high growth business. Key Responsibilities Include · Develop, analyze and present financial results and performance to the regional management · Act as a true business partner to the VP Africa on all businesses (sourcing, processing, sustainability) · Perform post close reviews, ensure balance sheet accuracy and ensure proper adherence to Group Accounting policies · Support external auditors/country F&A Managers on conducting interim and yearly audits (both statutory and group) including dispute resolutions · Support budget holders on preparing operating budgets and capex plans · Manage tax audits including dispute resolutions in collaboration with country F&A Managers and Corporate Tax · Advise on the tax implications of business development/restructuring · Ensure business critical process controls are in place and actively being followed · Review regularly African risk position · Support business development process and evaluate strategic business areas for growth · Perform operation and business management reviews · Support on mergers and acquisitions / divestitures and perform project analyses About You · Bachelor / Master in Finance, Accounting or Economics (Chartered Accounting degree is a plus) · English business proficiency (written and spoken), French is an asset · 15-20 years minimum experience with strong exposure as a country Finance Manager (including Accounting, FP&A, Treasury and Tax) · Experience in a regional role is a plus · Experience in a multinational company, preferably B2B/food industry · Superior leadership experience · Capacity to lead transformation and drive change · Agile and flexible · Advanced level of business acumen · Highest level of ethics and integrity
