Job Description : HR HEAD NIGERIA Head of Technology & Innovation Location : Ethiopia Lead and execute the Group’s digital transformation strategy with measurable outcomes. Oversee full-scale ERP integration (e.g., Lighthouse, SAP B1) across all departments and geographies. Drive the organization towards a paperless, data-driven culture through digitization of core functions. Evaluate and implement appropriate technologies tailored to specific market needs in Africa Design and deliver digital tools including CRM systems, IoT integrations, data warehousing, and mobile applications. Build and manage a high-performing internal innovation and software development team. Location Head Office (Lagos) with frequent visits to operational sites Reports to: Managing Director / CEO Job Objective We are hiring a mature, structured, and authoritative HR Head who will be responsible for building a disciplined and high-performance workforce. This role demands more than just traditional HR functions — the candidate must be able to command respect, implement systems, and hold employees and managers accountable across functions. Key Responsibilities • Establish HR systems, SOPs, and policies from scratch — attendance, discipline, leave, and appraisal • Drive performance management with clear KPIs for all departments • Manage recruitment of skilled, reliable staff across plants and support functions • Handle labour law compliance, industrial relations, and union matters (if applicable) • Implement training and evaluation programs for junior and mid-level employees • Lead disciplinary processes, ensure zero tolerance for absenteeism or negligence • Own employee engagement, onboarding, and retention initiatives • Report directly to management with workforce insights and HR metrics Ideal Candidate Profile • 15 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or agro-industries • Experience managing a workforce of 200+ employees (blue & white collar combined) • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws, HR compliance, and factory operations • Excellent leadership and communication skills • Proven experience implementing attendance monitoring, shift systems, and grievance handling • Tech-savvy – should be able to introduce HR systems (Excel, ERP, or tools like Zoho, BambooHR, etc.) Key Traits Required • Commanding presence — respected by both staff and leadership • High maturity and fairness in handling conflict • Uncompromising when it comes to discipline and accountability • Discreet, ethical, and driven by company culture • Excellent people judgment and professional boundaries
