Job Description : CFO NIGERIA FOR RETAIL Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / MD Role Summary: The CFO will lead the financial strategy and operations of a dynamic retail business in Africa. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic growth across diverse markets. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals and market dynamics. Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making. Operational Finance: Manage accounting, treasury, tax, procurement, and internal controls across retail operations. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies, including currency and supply chain risks. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations, including IFRS and OHADA standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team across multiple locations. Qualifications & Experience: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA or CPA/ACCA preferred. Minimum 20 years of senior financial leadership, ideally in retail sector. Experience working in African markets with knowledge of local financial regulations. Proven ability to manage multi-country operations and diverse teams.
