Lead Accountant

Job Description : LEAD ACCOUNTANT NIGERIA We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Accountant with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification to oversee our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, manage statutory compliance, and support strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and period-end closing activities. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, International taxation requirements and internal financial controls. Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits and ensure timely closure. Provide financial analysis and insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Manage cash flows, working capital, and bank relationships. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning and process improvements. Maintain documentation and accounting policies aligned with company and regulatory requirements. Qualifications and Skills: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory. 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization. Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards and financial regulations. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle). Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
