Job Description : SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER CENTRAL AFRICA A Civil Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. They manage projects from start to finish, including design, procurement, construction, and closeout. Key responsibilities include managing project budgets, schedules, and resources, as well as coordinating with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors. They also ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution:Developing project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, and overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle. Stakeholder Communication:Maintaining effective communication with project team members, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Risk Management:Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project. Budget and Schedule Management:Managing project costs and ensuring adherence to the project schedule. Quality Control:Ensuring that all work is performed to the required quality standards and specifications. Contractor Management:Overseeing the work of contractors and subcontractors and ensuring they comply with contract requirements. Permitting and Compliance:Obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and building codes. Safety Management:Ensuring a safe working environment for all project personnel. Change Management:Managing changes to the project scope, schedule, or budget, and ensuring proper documentation and approval. Closeout:Managing the project closeout process, including final inspections, documentation, and handover. Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in managing civil engineering projects, including experience with construction management, contract administration, and cost control. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and relevant regulations. Management Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical and logistical issues. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software and relevant design and construction software.
