Service Manager

Job Description : Service Manager – Commercial Vehicles Location: Cameroon, West Africa **Previous experience in Africa is preferred.** We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to oversee the service operations for our commercial vehicle department. This role involves managing service teams, ensuring timely and quality service delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial vehicle service operations, leadership skills, and a customer-focused approach. Overview • Oversee day-to-day operations of the commercial vehicle service department. • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of service technicians and support staff. • Ensure that all services, including maintenance and repairs, are completed to company and industry standards. • Manage service scheduling and ensure efficient workflow. • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), such as service turnaround time and customer satisfaction. • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner. • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve service-related issues. • Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools necessary for service operations. • Coordinate with other departments (sales, parts, etc.) to ensure seamless service operations. • Manage the department’s budget and control costs to ensure profitability. • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology. Education & Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Automotive Technology, Business Management, or related field preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a service management role in the commercial vehicle industry. Preferably in Africa.
