Job Description : GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR SYDNEY AUSTRALIA Open to International candidates With a matric line of report to both the Country MD and Regional Finance, you’ll be a pivotal member of the leadership team—steering performance, navigating risk, and accelerating growth across the business. What you'll do: Champion robust financial controls, tax compliance, and regulatory standards to ensure the highest levels of governance across all business operations. Anticipate and manage financial, legal, and reputational risks by establishing proactive risk management frameworks that safeguard organisational interests. Advise and collaborate with the Country Managing Director and senior leadership team by providing insightful financial analysis that informs strategic decisions. Drive commercial planning initiatives by challenging assumptions and supporting value-driven choices that align with long-term business objectives. Identify opportunities for scalable and profitable growth across multiple sectors and service lines by leveraging data-driven insights. Lead cross-functional cost optimisation strategies and performance improvement programmes designed to enhance operational efficiency. Shape client pricing strategies while improving margin performance and resolving commercial barriers to maximise profitability. Take ownership of financial leadership during pitches, proposals, and contract negotiations to ensure favourable outcomes for the organisation. Build a culture of financial accountability within delivery planning and staffing processes by promoting transparency across project economics. Modernise financial reporting and planning through the adoption of automation and artificial intelligence tools that provide real-time dashboards and performance insights. Inspire, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team spanning FP&A, controllership, and commercial finance functions while fostering a growth-oriented culture rooted in collaboration. Strengthen balance sheet management and cash flow oversight across entities by establishing holistic metrics that reflect overall financial health. What you'll bring: At least 15 years' work experience including proven track record as Finance Director for 2-3 years within multinational companies. Experienced working for Professional Services firms as Finance Department head is prioritised. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA etc. highly preferable. Expertise in commercial finance, stakeholder management, and change leadership. Tech-savvy and familiar with finance data tools such as Power BI etc. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills,
