Job Description : SALES MANAGER / COMMERCIAL MANAGER – KOMATSU MINING EQUIPMENT – South America BILINGUAL ENGLISH & SPANISH SPEAKING Expat position Family friendly location USD Remuneration Regular international travel We are assisting our client to recruit an experienced Komatsu Sales Manager / Commercial Manager. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and “live wire” Komatsu Sales Manager and with a track record of selling SURFACE and UNDERGROUND mining equipment – especially at Komatsu dealership level. In addition, exposure to selling crushing equipment will be very advantageous. The incumbent will serve as a functional lead supporting mining sales efforts across the region and with a strong emphasis on collaboration across departments to drive customer-focused outcomes. The role involves management of key mining customer accounts across the region, developing strategic programs to grow penetration in surface and underground mining operations, establishing value-based selling approaches (e.g. Total Cost of Ownership), supporting tenders, and aligning OEM support programs with customer performance goals. Success in this role depends on an integrated approach to mining sales that spans sales, aftersales, applications, and customer support teams to enhance performance and the overall customer experience. KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE 1. Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical/trade qualification/s. Additional qualifications in business will be advantageous 2. Strong preference for candidates with regional (multiple countries) sales experience and via a recognized Komatsu dealership 3. Ten+ years’ experience selling capital equipment into the mining industry (surface and/or underground) 4. Very familiar with mining-specific equipment (e.g., haul trucks, rotary drills, loaders, crushers, LHDs, bolters). 5. Prior exposure to large mining projects, tenders, and regulatory/compliance expectations for mine operations. 6. Bilingual English and Spanish speaking. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 7. Willingness to regularly travel into the region and visit multiple countries 8. Ability to develop trusted relationships with customers, OEMs and other relevant stakeholders; cultivate new sales leads and enhance existing account sales. 9. Foster a positive sales culture and motivate team with guidance, coaching and support to achieve to exceed sales targets. 10. Well-honed negotiation skills 11.Ability to build a short, mid & long-term strategy to ensure continuous business growth & profitability. 12. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment by operating with a hands-on approach, showing strong initiative, and maintaining a self-driven mindset.
