Operations Head

Job Description : DEPUTY OPERATIONS HEAD NIGERIA Oversee and manage the daily operations of the DRI plant, ensuring production targets, quality benchmarks, and operational efficiency are consistently met. Collaborate closely with the Head of DRI to formulate and implement strategies aimed at optimizing plant output, minimizing downtime, and improving overall productivity. Facilitate effective coordination among control room, mechanical, electrical, and process departments for smooth plant functioning. Track and evaluate key performance indicators such as metallization levels, yield, energy consumption, and recovery efficiency. Champion continuous improvement efforts, focusing on cost reduction, energy efficiency, and process stability. Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations across all operational activities. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of operational challenges to ensure minimal disruptions in production. Offer technical leadership and mentorship to both operations and maintenance teams to enhance their skillsets and performance. Contribute to capital planning processes, including budgeting and resource management for plant modifications or expansion projects. Liaise with allied departments such as raw material handling, quality control, and logistics to ensure integrated and uninterrupted plant operations.
