They directly employs over 2000 people across several regions of operations, & includes the ownership & management of the boutique hotel in Mumbai, Banquets & Catering services, Indias largest ice-cream store chain the recently launched extremely delicious lower-calorie ice cream brand with only 75 calories per cup, the leading ice cream & food brand of the Middle East, which offers customers traditional Indian packaged foods such as paneer, frozen vegetables, rice & more a chain of modern Indian family dining restaurants in India, & other sub-brands. Our client is leading Ice Cream Manufacturer of India , UAE , & UK Position Summary The R&D/NPD Specialist (Ice Cream) will be responsible for the research, development, & launch of new & improved ice cream products. This role will involve translating consumer insights & market trends into innovative product formulations, optimizing existing recipes & ensuring products meet quality, safety & regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a passionate & creative food scientist with a strong understanding of ice cream technology & a drive to create delicious & market-leading frozen desserts. Qualifications · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dairy Technology, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field. · 10+ years of hands-on experience in New Product Development & Research, in the ice cream industry · Strong understanding of food chemistry, ingredient functionality & production processes relevant to ice cream. · Proficiency with laboratory & pilot plant equipment. · Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations & quality control procedures. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, & project management skills. · Exceptional communication (verbal & written) & organizational abilities. · Creativity & a passion for developing innovative & delicious ice cream products. · Strong project management skills · Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems Desired Skills · The R&D - NPD Engineer is responsible for managing new product development projects, from initial concept through to the production phase. Research & Innovation: · Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, technologies, & consumer preferences in the ice cream & frozen dessert market. · Research & identify high-quality, unique ingredients & explore their utilization in ice cream formulations. · Investigate & apply novel technologies to develop innovative ice cream products & processes. Quality & Compliance: · Ensure all product development activities comply with relevant food safety & regulatory standards (e.g., FSSAI). · Establish robust quality standards & conduct sensory evaluations to ensure product consistency & desired attributes. · Maintain detailed records of research, development, & quality control processes. Cross-functional Collaboration: · Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, quality assurance, & procurement, to ensure successful product launches & market acceptance. · Translate consumer insights into actionable product specifications & innovations. · Provide technical support to production teams during scale-up & troubleshooting.
