What you'll do: As Mill General Manager – Agricultural Product, you will take ownership of all aspects of mill operations in Vietnam. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating the entire process from raw material intake through inventory management to production planning and execution. You will ensure that every step meets stringent quality standards while optimising resource utilisation. By championing best practices in food safety compliance and fostering close collaboration between departments such as sales and logistics, you will help align production schedules with market demand. Your ability to analyse data for strategic decision-making will be crucial in driving operational improvements. Additionally, you will play an instrumental role in mentoring your team—developing their skills through training programmes—and cultivating an environment where everyone feels supported in achieving shared objectives. Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering consistent product excellence while upholding the company’s reputation for reliability within the agricultural sector. Oversee procurement and intake of raw material, ensuring both quality and quantity standards are consistently met for optimal production outcomes. Manage inventory levels with robust tracking systems to optimise storage capacity, minimise waste, and guarantee raw material traceability. Direct daily milling operations by coordinating production activities to achieve timely output aligned with cost-effectiveness and quality benchmarks. Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, increasing extraction rates, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Ensure strict adherence to safety, hygiene, environmental regulations, and food safety certifications such as HACCP and ISO throughout all processes. Lead preventive maintenance programmes for machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation and minimal breakdowns during critical production periods. Enforce comprehensive quality control protocols across all stages of production while collaborating with internal teams to resolve any issues promptly. Optimise supply chain operations by forecasting material usage, overseeing storage conditions for finished goods, and coordinating timely dispatches to customers. Develop and manage operational budgets by controlling costs related to raw materials, energy consumption, labour efficiency, and implementing cost-saving measures. Foster a culture of accountability by coaching subordinates, developing career roadmaps for team members, conducting regular performance reviews, and supporting their professional growth. What you bring: To excel as Mill General Manager – Agricultural Product, you will bring extensive experience from the milling industry combined with advanced academic qualifications in engineering or food technology. Your background should reflect hands-on involvement in managing large-scale mill operations where you have successfully balanced production targets with uncompromising quality standards. You are adept at navigating regulatory frameworks governing food safety while leveraging your analytical strengths to drive process enhancements. Your interpersonal skills enable you to build trust among diverse teams—encouraging open communication and mutual support—which is essential for sustaining high morale and productivity. Furthermore, your financial acumen allows you to manage budgets effectively while continuously seeking ways to optimise resources. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred for deeper technical insight. At least 10 years’ experience within the milling industry with a minimum of 5 years spent in senior management roles overseeing large-scale operations. Comprehensive understanding of mill processes including production planning, supply chain optimisation, inventory management, and quality assurance systems. Demonstrated expertise in food safety regulations (HACCP/ISO/FSSC) with proven ability to maintain compliance across complex manufacturing environments. Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on nurturing teams through coaching, training initiatives, and fostering interdepartmental cooperation. Advanced analytical skills enabling effective problem-solving using data-driven approaches for continuous process improvement. Excellent communication skills in English—both written and verbal—to facilitate clear stakeholder engagement at all organisational levels. Proficiency with computer applications relevant to manufacturing operations such as ERP systems or inventory management software. Experience managing operational budgets with a track record of identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or efficiency.
