Job Description : Boiler Operations Manager with one of the leading Company Africa Position : Boiler Operations Manager (Multi-Fuel Operation) Location :Africa Uganda Qulification : Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation Boiler Operations Engineer Certificate is mandatory Experience Required: · Minimum 15 years of experience in boiler operation using multiple fuel sources in a manufacturing/processing/utility plant. · Will be required to work in shifts. · Exposure to high-temperature equipment, noise, and heavy-duty machinery. Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers and auxiliary equipment using different fuel types. Maintain optimal steam output and efficiency based on production demands. Start, stop, and switch boiler operations based on fuel availability and process needs. Monitor fuel consumption, combustion efficiency, and emissions for each type of fuel used. Ensure proper fuel handling, feeding, and storage procedures are followed. Maintain records/logs of boiler parameters, fuel usage, downtime, and maintenance. Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance of boilers and associated systems. Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance. Respond to alarms, troubleshoot operating issues, and take corrective actions promptly. Comply with all safety procedures, environmental standards, and statutory requirements. Ensure blowdowns, water testing, and chemical dosing are done as per guidelines. Participate in energy audits and efficiency improvement initiatives.
