Workshop Manager

Job Description : Workshop Manager (Heavy Commercial Vehicle - Trunk & Bus) at Central Africa Education: BE in Mechanical OR Auto Mobile Engineering. Experience : 10 Years (Auto Mobile Dealership Group-Heavy Commercial Vehicle - Trunk & Bus) KRA - Routine activities of workshop management, Spares & Service team handling , Spares order preparation, Experience of service system and standards, Customer handling, Knowledge of MS Office Language - English (Compulsory) & Portuguese (Desired) 1Workshop Operations Management o Plan, supervise, and monitor daily workshop operations. o Ensure that repair and service jobs are completed efficiently, within set timeframes, and according to manufacturer standards. o Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill, priority, and availability. 2. Staff & Team Leadership o Manage, train, and motivate workshop technicians, electricians, and mechanics. o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide technical guidance. o Maintain discipline, safety, and high morale within the team. 3. Customer Coordination o Interact with clients regarding technical issues, repair updates, and cost estimates. o Ensure clear documentation of job cards and obtain customer approvals for additional repairs or parts. o Handle customer complaints and follow up until resolved. 4. Inventory & Spare Parts Coordination o Coordinate with the spare parts department for availability and timely issuance of required components. o Recommend parts ordering based on job forecasts and trends. 5. Quality Control o Inspect completed jobs to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. o Enforce standard operating procedures and quality assurance measures. 6. Administration & Reporting o Maintain workshop performance records, job costing, and technician efficiency metrics. o Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to management. o Monitor budget and manage operating costs within allocated limits.
