Job Description : IMPORT/EXPORT MANAGER CARIBBEAN Indian MNC looking to hire Indian candidate and supports full relocation Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field. - Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in import/export management or related logistics roles. - Strong knowledge of domestic and international import/export regulations and compliance. - Proven experience with customs documentation and procedures. - Exceptional negotiation skills, particularly with freight forwarders and transportation providers. - Experience with strategic planning and execution in shipping and logistics. - Proficient in logistics software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS). - Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret import/export data. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to lead and manage a team, providing guidance and performance evaluations. - Experience with risk assessment and mitigation in international shipping. - Proficient in developing and implementing operational procedures for security and compliance. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. - Experience in handling hazardous materials and understanding related safety regulations. - Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with other departments. - Up-to-date knowledge of trade agreements, tariffs, and customs regulations. - Experience in preparing reports and presentations for senior management. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Ability to evaluate and adopt new logistics technologies and providers. Responsabilities - Oversee import/export compliance with domestic and international laws. - Develop strategic shipping and logistics plans. - Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and carriers for shipment scheduling. - Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery. - Prepare and review import/export documents. - Negotiate contracts and shipping rates with freight forwarders. - Optimize shipping routes and methods. - Collaborate with supply chain, purchasing, and sales teams. - Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. - Maintain knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements. - Implement security and compliance procedures. - Manage logistics coordinators and clerks. - Review and approve logistics provider invoices. - Analyze import/export data to identify trends and recommend improvements. - Ensure compliance with hazardous material handling and storage regulations. - Act as a contact for customs authorities and regulatory agencies. - Prepare reports and presentations for senior management. - Evaluate and select new logistics providers and technologies. - Lead and participate in cross-functional global supply chain projects.
