Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to lead the global finance function across several international regions. This role is a blend of strategic financial leadership and hands-on operational oversight. As a trusted business partner to the CEO and regional leaders, you’ll be responsible for ensuring financial alignment, driving efficiencies, and fostering a performance-oriented culture. You will manage a geographically dispersed team and travel to regional offices twice a year. he Head of Finance will be based in the Netherlands (Utrecht), with flexibility for hybrid work and international travel. Key Responsibilities Strategic Finance Leadership Advise the CEO and regional management on financial strategy Align financial planning and reporting across all regions Drive initiatives that enhance profitability and business growth Maintain visibility into overall financial performance Financial Management & Control Lead monthly closings, P&L reviews, and financial dashboards Consolidate and report group-level financials Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital, and liquidity planning Co-lead budgeting and ensure accountability per region Manage group-wide audits and ensure reporting compliance Operational Excellence Optimise and standardise finance processes and tools (e.g., SAP, banking platforms) Ensure controls around procurement, payments, receivables, and inventory Coordinate intercompany billing, reconciliations, and transfer pricing Team Leadership Lead and coach a distributed team of four finance professionals Define clear KPIs and responsibilities Build a culture of ownership and continuous improvement Stakeholder Management Act as key contact for auditors, banks, tax advisors, and legal counsel Support board reporting, shareholder updates, and business reviews Whom We Are Looking For? 18 years of finance experience, including D-level exposure and international scope Background in controlling, audit, tax planning, and cash flow management Experience with multi-entity reporting and international finance operations Fluent in English and Dutch (Spanish is a plus) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Proactive, structured, and pragmatic mindset Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred Industry background in ingredients, food, or distribution is a plus
