Position: Head of Procurement Department: Operations Location: Dubai, UAE. Must spend 3-6 months in Zambia Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer Key Responsibilities: Cost Savings and Value Optimisation: Achieve annual savings by improving sourcing and supplier negotiations while maintaining quality. Supply Chain Resilience: Ensure reliable delivery and minimise disruptions through effective risk management and planning. Procurement Efficiency: Streamline procurement processes and promote digital tools to enhance productivity and user satisfaction. Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain adherence to legal and policy requirements in procurement practices to mitigate risks. Supplier Relationships: Build strong partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation and enhance service quality. Sustainable Procurement: Engage with environmentally and socially responsible suppliers to reduce the carbon footprint of the supply chain. Qualifications & Skills: The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with extensive experience in international procurement and strategic sourcing. Relevant certifications like CPSM or CIPS are preferred. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
