Job Description : Sr. Manager Sustainability & Quality Compliance Location - Dubai, UAE Industry - Retail Apparel and Fashion Experience - 12+ Years Education - M.tech in textile / Masters in Textile engineering Reporting to - Quality Head Requirements: Looking for a Technical/Manufacturing Head with strong factory experience in quality and compliance. Must have knowledge of chemical management, ZDHC MRSL/RSL, and Higg Index. Should have led quality and sustainability programs at the factory level. Key Roles & Responsibilities Responsible for the product registrations and compliance for all the retailing territories, develop the Supply chain sustainability strategy, board reporting governance infrastructure for the sustainability policies related to chemical management, ZDHC MRSL/RSL Governance Mechanism, Higg Index Management, Scope 3 Emissions target setting, measurement analytics and improvement policies adoption, supplier adherence guidelines and develop supplier score card methodology on key sustainability tracker, benchmark against global sustainability standards. 1. Product Compliance, Category Standards & Shipment Certification Brief: Direct the regulation process for products requiring governmental approval by ensuring that all necessary applications are filed and handling all government interactions. Assist in developing procedures to ensure product regulatory compliance. Key Actions: - Develop and manage all the product regulatory requirements across all the product verticals e.g. apparel, toys, footwear, food contact, cosmetics, home textile, furniture categories. - Manage and update the category quality standards and regulatory directives of the above mentioned product verticals as per regional legislative requirements of the operating regions. - Develop and maintain strong working relationship with all the regional government authorities and policy advisory bodies pertaining to product standards and policy discussions. - Develop the training protocols for the brand quality personnel and for the suppliers to ensure all the stakeholders are up to date pertaining to product compliance requirements. - Manage the lowest operating cost model on product compliance with out of the box innovations and necessary implementation of the policies across businesses. - Manage the Group nomination model for product testing, shipment inspection and product certification for all concepts and brands and for all operating territories. - Develop and Manage the commercial negotiation for product testing, Product & Shipment inspection with global quality agencies across China, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Turkey, Egypt etc.
