Fixed Assets Head

Job Description : FIXED ASSETS HEAD NIGERIA 15+ years experience Manage (plan, direct, coordinate) Fixed Assets Accounting , Verification and Controls. Prepare / Review Fixed Assets Accounting guidelines & Train Accounts Executives Participate in Budget Preparation and monitoring of Budget Vs Actual Spend Provide Guidance on Capitalization of Assets. Follow up and convert CWIP to Assets. Review and Maintain Fixed Asset Register Ensuring all Assets are Tagged as per Company Policy Ensure Depreciation is posted as per Company Guidelines Ensure Regular Physical Verification of Assets Improv Process efficiencies and support to reduce costs. Monitoring and highlight internal control matters related to Fixed Assets Should be able to lead a team of Accountants to deliver on above responsibilities. Should be able to closely work with the Head of specified vertical in the Group Knowledge of General Accounting Principles & Knowledge of Industry specific Accounting Standards Knowledge of latest Trends in Assets Tagging, Specific developments in Asset Accounting SOP Development & Execution Proficiency in accounting Software, Internal Controls, Accounting Policies Budgeting , Forecasting Preferred candidate profile Must have experience in leading Team of 5 to 10 Accountants. Should be conversant with IFRS accounting Standards. Experience in preparing Accounting Processes and Procedures focused on Fixed Assets Experience in effective use and process improvements in ERP (EPICOR/SAP/Other prominent ERPs) Industry Specific experience - Oil & Gas, Manufacturing Industry *
