Senior Finance Manager
8 yearsJob Description : SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER DRC The Sr. Manager Finance will play a key leadership role in supporting the financial management of a high-capacity upcoming beverages production plant in the DRC. The role will ensure robust financial planning, cost control, and regulatory compliance across operations involving the production and distribution of Alcoholic & Non-Alcoholic beverages. The Sr. Manager will work closely with the CFO, Plant management, and group leadership to deliver financial performance in line with strategic objectives, while navigating the unique regulatory and operating landscape in the DRC. Financial Strategy & Planning Support the CFO in defining and executing financial strategy aligned with company goals. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for the company. Provide financial models and scenario planning to guide strategic decisions. Operational Finance & Cost Management Monitor production costs, inventory, and pricing structures to improve margin performance. Partner with operations teams to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost optimization. Implement robust internal controls to ensure accurate costing and minimize financial risk. Treasury, Taxation & Compliance Support treasury operations, including cash flow management, bank relationships, and foreign exchange controls relevant to the DRC context. Ensure full compliance with Congolese tax laws, including VAT, excise duties, and corporate tax filings and liaise with external auditors, government authorities, and tax consultants. Financial Reporting & Analysis Oversee preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local DRC financial regulations. Analyze financial results, highlight trends, and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability and cash flow. Internal Controls & Risk Management Strengthen internal control systems to prevent fraud, misappropriation, and inefficiencies. Oversee financial audits and implement corrective measures based on audit findings. Evaluate and mitigate financial risks associated with local operating conditions (logistics, currency fluctuations, inflation, etc.). Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team at the plant and regional level. Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement. Identify and groom high-potential staff for succession and leadership roles. Preferred candidate profile Education: Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or a Certified Chartered Accountant/CMA, ACCA. Experience Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Minimum 2 years working Experience in Manufacturing Industry. Prior working experience in Beverages Industry in Africa will be an advantage. Technical Skills: Proficient in IFRS. OHADA is an advantage Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems). Language Skills: Fluency in English, Proficiency in French will be preferred. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. High integrity, ethical standards, and resilience in complex operating conditions. Ability to manage financial complexity in a rapidly growing market.
