10 yearsJob Description : PLANT MANAGER ARUSHA TANZANIA Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in the molding industry (Injection, Blow & PET Any). At least 35 years in a managerial or leadership role, overseeing plant operations, production, and team management. Proven track record in operational excellence, quality assurance, and cost efficiency. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Must Have Required some one who have current or past work experience in East Africa ( Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania , Rwanda, Ethiopia, Malawi ) Preferred candidate profile The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience and leadership in the molding industry, with a strong focus on Injection molding OR Blow molding OR PET molding technologies. Role & responsibilities Key Expectations: Leadership and Team Management: As a plant manager , you must be able to lead and motivate your team, foster a positive work environment, and address employee concerns. You are expected to provide clear direction, set expectations, and delegate tasks effectively. Operational Efficiency and Production: You are responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring timely delivery, and minimizing waste. You should implement lean manufacturing principles, track key performance indicators, and identify areas for improvement. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring a safe work environment is paramount. You must adhere to safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and environmental laws. Quality Control: You are responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout the production process. You must enforce quality control standards, ensure raw materials meet requirements, and address quality issues promptly. Reports: You are expected to check the various daily reports , manage the plant's expenses, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. You must also be able to analyze data and make informed decisions related to efficiencies and cost optimization across the operations. A monthly report summarizing the operations, achievements , challenges, and action plans is to be shared with the management leadership team. Strategic Planning and Implementation: As a Plant Manager , you are expected to contribute to the overall strategic goals of the company by developing and implementing plans to improve plant performance, increase efficiency, and stay competitive. Continuous Improvement: You should actively seek opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. This includes implementing new technologies, adopting best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
