General Manager Sales and Marketing 
20 yearsJob Description : General Manager: Sales & Marketing Manager Location : Uganda ( Kampala ) Reporting: Managing Director Key Role & Responsibilities: ·GM (Sales & Marketing) is responsible for sales and distribution objectives as per the Annual Business Plan. ·Driving route sales operations, drive growths year on year, gain market share, and driving profitable categories across geographies of Uganda. ·He should lead the RSMs & the sales representatives in all aspects of sales ·Lead the team and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies ·Implement sales automation across channels ·Channel management and trade development initiatives ·Set-up performance monitoring and reporting of sales metrics ·Conduct periodic business reviews with the senior management team to assess performance and align on goals ·This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of category dynamics to achieve business goals 1. Team recruitment, training 2. Channel and Distribution Management 3. Sales automation: ·Optimizing sales team visits and coverage, real time sales ·Inventory reporting, access to real-time data & dashboards for reporting of sales team KPIs etc. ·Drive the team on the implementation of sales automation across channels and ensure we leverage the investment with desired results ·Optimize sales processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness 4. Sales Strategy: ·Sales planning and forecasting (Short term and long term) ·Achieve growth objectives by generating demand through market interventions effective merchandising, incentive programs, BTL activities etc ·Identify new market opportunities and expansion strategies 4. Events, Trade Marketing and Promotions ·Look for opportunities to develop visibility initiatives and aids based on market , channel and geographic opportunities ·Plan and execute the sales promotion activities across using the road show truck for activations ·Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and provide feedback for improvement 5. Skill set & competencies required: ·In-depth understanding of Beverages Business ·Excellent communication skills & ability to coordinate with internal support functions and external stakeholders from time to time ·Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities ·Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitable growth ·Strong leadership and team management abilities ·Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends ·Proficiency in sales management software, CRM tools, and MS Office applications 6.Qualifications & Experience required : ·An MBA in Marketing and Sales from reputed institution ·Age: Not more than 50 years ·Incumbent should have over 20 years strong experience in FMCG / Beverage Industry ·Should have spent a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles & Heading Beverages Business at a senior position leading a team of RSM & ASMs. (African experience preferred)
