15 yearsJob Description : Project Manager for Water and waste Water Large Scale Project for a Leading Co in Oman Qualifications: · B.E /B.Tech / BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (MSc or MBA is a plus) · PMP, Pg MP, or other advanced project management certification Experience - 12 -15 yrs in Water and waste Water Large Scale or Infrastructure Projects Job Purpose: To lead the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all company projectsparticularly large- scale water and wastewater networks, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure. The Head of Projects ensures technical excellence, cost control, timely delivery, and full compliance with client requirements (e.g., Nama), regulatory standards (e.g., MD 286/2008), and company strategy. This role involves mentoring project teams, resolving high-level site issues, and maintaining strong stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Portfolio Leadership · Direct and oversee the planning and execution of multiple water and wastewater infrastructure projects across various locations. · Approve project strategies, programs, and risk mitigation plans to ensure delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters. · Maintain close supervision of critical project milestones and performance indicators (KPIs). 2. Technical Authority · Provide expert-level technical guidance in pipeline works (DI, HDPE, GRP), trenching, NDRC, pumping stations, SCADA systems, and instrumentation. · Review and approve designs, shop drawings, method statements, technical submittals, and inspection/test plans. · Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, interfacing with consultants and clients to resolve conflicts or design clarifications. 3. Client & Consultant Engagement · Act as the primary representative in front of major stakeholders including Nama, municipalities, and consulting firms. · Chair technical coordination meetings, value engineering sessions, and progress review discussions. · Review and resolve client queries, RFIs, and design discrepancies affecting delivery or compliance. 4. Commercial & Subcontractor Oversight · Supervise the review and approval of: · Interim payment certificates and subcontractor invoices · Variations, claims, and change orders · BOQ finalizations and budget reviews · Manage subcontractor performance, scope alignment, and ensure contract obligations are fulfilled. 5. Quality, Safety & Compliance · Ensure that QA/QC procedures are effectively implemented across all sites. · Oversee HSE implementation and compliance with local legislation (e.g., MD 286/2008), ISO standards, and client-specific requirements. · Lead internal audits and third-party inspections. 6. Resource Management & Team Development · Recruit, assign, and supervise project managers, engineers, planners, and supporting staff. · Provide mentorship, performance reviews, and capacity-building opportunities. · Foster a strong performance-driven culture focused on accountability and ownership. 7. Strategic & Organizational Development · Develop long-term project planning strategies and align with company growth targets. · Recommend process improvements, new technologies, and risk-based planning frameworks. • Participate in business development activities, bid evaluations, and resource estimation.
