Head of Data Engineerring

Job Description : EXPAT HEAD OF DATA ENGINEERING VIETNAM Reporting to CEO, you, as a visionary Head of Data Engineering, are expected to lead the arcthiecture of data & empower the fast-growing team of data/ML engineers Key Responsibilities Define and execute company data strategy Lead data governance, privacy, and compliance Build modern data infrastructure (data lakes, vector DBs, feature stores) Drive AI/ML model deployment and integration Transition analytics to real-time, intelligent systems using LLMs and RAGs Champion data literacy and responsible AI innovation Requirements 8+ years in data engineering/ AI/ML roles; 4+ years in leadership position, ideally serving Data Engineering Manager Experience managing, empowering & leading teams from 10 members Proven success in deploying AI/ML models at scale Strong data architecture (Lakehouse architecture) experience, and modern/open source data technology solutions (e.g. LlamaIndex, Apache parquet files, vector database etc). Data access control and security is critical. Experience implementation data pipeline on AWS, including optimizing for cost and performance - Strong technical and hands-on leadership. Provide review and coaching to the team. Strong strategic thinking and executive communication, excellent communications skills (with English too) Nice to have experience within e-commerce/ fintech/ Consumer industry
