Job Description Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise financial performance. Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international tax regulations. Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and related documentation. Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions. Coordinate with external advisors and tax authorities as required. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation. Manage and lead the tax team to achieve departmental objectives. Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to align tax strategies with broader financial goals. The Successful Applicant A successful Tax Director should have: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. You MUST have experience with IRISH TAX - please do not apply without this. Professional tax qualifications such as CTA or ACCA are preferred. In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations within the transport and distribution industry. Proven ability to manage complex tax matters and deliver strategic solutions. Strong leadership skills to guide and develop the tax team. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
