Job Description : Country Manager - Dubai- Garment Export/Textile Trading Annual Turnover: USD 500+ Million from South India Position Summary: We are a leading garment export house based in South India, with an annual turnover exceeding USD 500 million. As we expand our global footprint, we are establishing a new trading office in Dubai to serve as a hub for sourcing, design, and business development. Key Responsibilities: Office Setup and Operations Establish the New Office: Take full responsibility for setting up the Dubai trading office. This includes legal and regulatory compliance, securing a physical space, and obtaining all necessary licenses (e.g., a general trading license) and approvals. Team Building: Recruit and train a complete local team, including professionals for design, merchandising, finance, and administration, design Studio to create seasonal collections and presentations for global clients. Sourcing and Supply Chain Management Global Sourcing: Lead the sourcing function, developing a network of reliable garment manufacturing partners and factories. The focus will be on expanding sourcing from regions like Africa and China, in addition to our existing supply chain. Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with global vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and ethical compliance. Sales, Marketing, and Business Development Market Leadership: Lead the marketing and merchandising functions to position the Dubai office as a key player in the global garment trade. Logistics and Warehousing: Establish and manage relationships with third-party warehousing and logistics companies, particularly in key markets like the USA, to ensure efficient supply chain operations. Financial and P&L Management Full P&L Ownership: Manage the entire P&L for the Dubai office, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control.
