Job Description : OPERATIONS HEAD TANZANIA For soap, detergents and edible oil plant Job Description / Responsibilities 1. Manage Overall Plant Operations Covering Production, Production Planning,Demand Forecast, Man Power, Planning, and Mobilization in a comprehensive Manner. 2. Review Shop Floor Operations Daily for adherence to quality systems & norms. Build Systems to capture any deviation from set standards. 3. Lead and Support in process / system related issue, reduce incidences of such issues. 4. Manage and support preventive maintenance for plant & machinery and related engineering initiatives. 5. Optimize production costs, consolidate variances, analyze and find root causes for variances. Define action plans to manage / reduce such variances. 6. Manage line OEEs, Wastages and conversion costs through effective monitoring, review & Control. 7. Lead the QEHS initiatives and work with the central quality head in delivering defined Goals. 8. To be a champion for the commissioning of sustainable systems to hold the gains. 9. Keep a tight control on Maintenance & repairs costs within the budgeted levels. 10. Monitor and control Energy consumption 11. Be a Quality champion and lead cost efficiency and continual improvement programs. 12. Identify opportunities, baseline and execute projects amongst cross-functional teams. 13. Actively participate in & lead IR discussions, become a voice for the team. 14. Negotiate with various unions, ensure industrial discipline is maintained and labor productivity is increased regularly. 15. Train and Guide the team to build efficiency and quality focus 16. Manage and Build a multi-generational divers workforce Desired profile of the candidate Leadership, Hardworking Knowledge required: General Toilet Soap and Laundry Soap Formulations and its processes Knowledge on Palm oil processing plant Refinery, crystallizer, Fractionation plant General knowledge of Detergent plant formulation and its processes Manufacturing Plant equipment knowledge Knowledge of Product Quality, Plant Safety and Plant Maintenance activities Skills Required: Hands-on experience in Process plan operation and maintenance - Min. Exp. 15 to 20 Years Experience in FMCG Goods manufacturing
