Job Description : WORKSHOP MANAGER TANZANIA a leading Transport Group with a fleet of 600 plus vehicles is looking for its workshop Position: Workshop Incharge- Truck Salary : 1200 - 1500 USD Location: Tanzania Must have handled a workshop of large fleet of heavy vehicles / buses / trucks - Mandatory Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Manage a team of technicians and craftsmen, providing guidance and support. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for equipment and machinery. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all workshop activities. Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of tools and equipment, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary. Monitor inventory levels of tools, materials, and supplies, and coordinate procurement as needed. Prepare and manage the workshop budget, tracking expenses and optimizing costs. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects and services. Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skills development. Report to senior management on workshop performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in workshop management or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Strong knowledge of workshop processes, equipment maintenance, and repair techniques. Proficiency in using workshop management software and tools for scheduling and inventory management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Good understanding of safety regulations and practices in the workshop environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Swahili. Ability to manage budgets and financial reports effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
