Port Manager

Job Description : PORT MANAGER NIGERIA Monitor vessel movements and coordinate berthing and unberthing operations in liaison with pilots, tugboats, and mooring crews. Ensure all marine operations are conducted safely and in compliance with port rules, maritime regulations (e.g., ISPS, SOLAS), and environmental standards. Maintain constant communication with vessel masters, agents, terminal operators, and port control to facilitate smooth operations. Conduct safety inspections and enforce port safety regulations, including handling of dangerous goods and pollution control procedures. Assist in emergency response, such as oil spills, fire, collision, or grounding incidents within the port area. Prepare daily activity reports, logs, and incident reports for management. Monitor the condition of port infrastructure (berths, mooring equipment, navigational aids) and report any deficiencies. Participate in safety drills and training sessions as required. Ensure compliance with International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code and support security-related operations.
