Job Description : SALES MANAGER KENYA Leading FMCG Company into production of Consumer Tissue Products like Toilet Tissue, Kitchen Towels, Facial Tissue, Pocket Tissue, Serviettes, etc Job Profile: Role : The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and distribution of consumer tissue products across Kenya. The role demands strong market development skills, leadership in managing sales teams, and establishing effective retail and distributor networks to achieve revenue and market share objectives. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, value, and profitability targets. Expand product penetration in modern trade, general trade, institutions, and HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants & Catering). Identify new business opportunities and develop route-to-market strategies. Distribution & Channel Management Appoint, manage, and develop distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers. Ensure effective secondary sales through dealer and retailer engagement. Optimize distribution network for maximum reach and availability across Kenya. Market Intelligence & Branding Track competitor activity, pricing, and promotions to adapt strategies. Work with marketing teams for brand visibility, in-store promotions, and merchandising. Conduct regular market visits to monitor execution and customer feedback. Key Account Management Develop strong relationships with modern trade, supermarkets, and institutional clients. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional deals with key accounts. Reporting & Analysis Prepare regular MIS reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends. Analyze sales data to improve efficiency and profitability. Desired Profile: Strong knowledge of FMCG sales & distribution, preferably in tissue, hygiene, or related products. Proven track record of achieving sales growth in a competitive market. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Hands-on experience with route-to-market strategy and channel management. Ability to lead and motivate teams for high performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). Minimum 7–10 years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 3–4 years in a managerial role. Prior experience in tissue products / hygiene / paper products / FMCG (fast-moving essentials) will be a strong advantage. Experience in Kenya or East Africa market highly desirable. Compensation: Net Savings around $1500 - $2000 + Food + Accommodation + Transport + Other Expat Benefits
