Electrical Head

Job Description : ELECTRICAL HEAD NIGERIA Lead and manage the electrical engineering scope for a world-class fertilizer project from concept to commissioning. Oversee and review Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and ensure alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards. Manage and guide detailed engineering activities in collaboration with internal teams and external EPC consultants. Develop, review, and approve technical specifications, SLDs, load lists, power system studies, cable schedules, lighting, grounding, and other design documents. Evaluate and select electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS, generators, etc.) in alignment with project requirements. Ensure adherence to relevant national and international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS, etc.) and company standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, Process) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Coordinate with procurement for the technical review of vendor offers, participate in technical bid evaluations, FATs, and inspections. Provide site support during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Lead or support HAZOPs, model reviews, and design safety assessments from an electrical perspective. Drive cost optimization, schedule adherence, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. Mentor and develop a team of electrical engineers and ensure effective knowledge transfer and capability building. Qualifications: • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (M. Tech would be an added plus). • 2225 years of relevant experience in the execution of large industrial projects in fertilizer, petrochemical, or chemical sectors. • Proven track record in handling EPC projects including FEED, detailed design, procurement, execution, and commissioning. • Strong understanding of power systems, substation design, protection systems, and electrical safety. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Familiarity with tools such as ETAP, DIALux, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc. is preferred.
