Job Description : MECHANICAL PROCUREMENT AND CONTRACTS MANAGER NIGERIA FOR POWER PLANT To perform the function of procurement and contracts for all Mechanical equipment and packages for setting up a gas based Thermal Power Plant Understand technical specifications Send enquiries to prospective vendors and get offers, Liaison with user for technical and commercial evaluation of offers Negotiations, ordering, follow up for delivery Purchase order monitoring and closure. A. Required Competencies & Levels: Technical knowledge of Mechanical items and equipment required for construction of a thermal power plant such Pumps, valves, water processing plants, cranes, tanks and vessels, Gas handling Systems. Commercial Knowledge of tendering, supplier management, negotiations, purchase order terms and conditions, import & export documentation. Team working and coordination skills in working with user department like technical, logistics, stores, accounts etc. Computer skills: Working knowledge of word, excel, power point and any ERP systems use F. Basic Qualication: Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical / Production Degree/ Diploma in Material Management G. Work Experience: 10 to 15 years
