Job Description : PLANT HEAD UGANDA Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (Masters degree or MBA is an added advantage Required Skill Set (In case of IT requirements) Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and quality management systems. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies. Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and operational efficiency. Excellent leadership, decision-making, and people management skills. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. High commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental sustainability. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Creative, innovative, and results-oriented. Job Description / Responsibilities Lead and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and logistics. Develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Ensure adherence to quality standards, environmental policies, and regulatory requirements. Drive a strong culture of safety, health, and environmental (HSE) compliance. Prepare and manage operational budgets, cost controls, and resource planning. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare operational reports for senior management. Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate plant staff to achieve high performance. Foster effective collaboration between departments (production, engineering, HR, finance, supply chain, etc.). Foster innovation by introducing new marketing technologies and approach
