Job Description : HEAD QUALITY CEMENT INDUSTRY EAST AFRICA B.E./B.Tech (Chemicals) with 18 to 25 years experience JOB DESCRIPTION - To look after administrative and technical functionalities of the company's Quality Control Department. - To ensure XRF Calibration of the company's laboratory along with precision as per IS: 12083. To ensure the quality of clinker of the company as per Norms. - To ensure all activities related to ISO/BIS of the Labs. To ensure the maintenance and Calibration of Chemical and Physical laboratory Equipment of the Labs. - To keep close liaison with statutory authorities - BIS, NTH and NCCBM & timely renewal of all licenses & audit Ensuring functioning of RMHS, i.e. Receipt Coal Quality updation in Coal software. - To plan and ensure desired quantity and quality of limestone on the basis of different raw Mix design and on different fuel consumption. To ensure complete testing of clinker & cement in i.e. physical lab, chemical Lab and Shift Lab as per Norms. - To ensure R&D efforts for betterment of product and raw materials ( Product development). To associate with different trials for cost control i.e. use of Pet coke/ different additives in Clinker and Cement Grinding. - To provide counseling and training to subordinates for their development. To update self with CMA Bulletins, BIS Publications, NCBM Extracts etc. - To guide and mentor team members; evaluate their performance and hold performance feedback discussion on regular intervals. To ensure individual target setting and ascertain their timely achievement. - Ensuring effective utilization of manpower. - To associate with concerned HODs for quality assurance. - To guide and assist marketing dept. and technical cell dept. for understanding customer Needs/complaints related to quality of cement i.e. market perception. Daily visit to Mines - different location for assuring the quality of feeding material. - To ensure participation of subordinates in developmental activities like QC, CFT etc. To ensure analysis & Reporting of Cement Market Samples. - Safety Gate meeting/safety committee/energy conservation/PAT/dept./miscellaneous meetings
