Job Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR GUINEA A major player in the mining sector is looking for an Operations Director to lead a major project in West Africa. Job Description Reporting to the General Management, you are responsible for all mining operations, from planning to on-site execution. You will ensure the technical, operational, and financial performance of activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and sustainable development standards. Your main missions are: Oversee all extraction and production operations, ensuring their efficiency and profitability. Define and implement production plans in line with strategic objectives. Supervise and develop multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. Ensure strict application of HSE rules and promote a strong safety culture. Ensure the availability and performance of equipment and infrastructure. Monitor key performance indicators and report to Senior Management. Contribute to relationships with local and institutional stakeholders. Profile sought With a higher education in mining engineering, mechanics, geology, or equivalent, you have at least 15 years of experience in the mining sector, including several years in operational management roles. You have successfully managed complex projects, ideally in Africa, and have strong expertise in team management and production optimization. With strong leadership skills, you are recognized for your ability to unite, anticipate, and make strategic decisions. Fluency in English is essential.
