Job Description : FC NIGERIA Financial Controller Location: Lagos, Nigeria Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. As a key member of our finance team, the Financial Controller will ensure that our financial practices are aligned with both the companys goals and the relevant financial regulations. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial analysis and reporting, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in all financial operations. In addition to overseeing the accounting team and coordinating with external auditors, the Financial Controller will also be involved in assessing financial risks and developing policies that promote operational efficiencies. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable standards. Manage the budgeting process, including analysing variances and providing insights for strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards and coordinate internal and external audits. Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets. Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to maintain optimal liquidity. Collaborate with department heads to provide financial analysis and support for operational initiatives. Review and approve all financial transactions and ensure they align with corporate policies and statutory requirements. Requirements • CA with 12-15 years of experience and 5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller. • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar financial management role in Oil & Gas, Refinery or Fertilizers Industry. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing finance teams effectively. • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
