20 yearsJob Description : Deputy Business Head Tyres Location: Lagos, Nigeria Reporting to: Business Head (Tyres) Team Size: Existing core team + Expansion as required Position Overview This is a strategic and high-impact leadership role responsible for the profitable expansion of Tyres within DAG Industries product basket in Nigeria. The incumbent will lead the Tyre vertical as a standalone profit centre, driving growth through strategic partnerships, channel development, team building, operational excellence, and market penetration. He/she will work closely with DAGs leadership team and Goodyear's global team to deliver excellence in sales, distribution, customer service, and brand equity. Key Responsibilities Business Strategy & Market Development - Define and implement short- and long-term strategies to establish product as a top-tier tyre brand in Nigeria. - Identify high-growth segments and create differentiated go-to-market approaches for 2W, 3W, passenger and commercial tyre categories. - Expand network coverage through appointment of capable dealers, distributors, and fleet partners. Sales, Distribution & Profitability - Drive topline and bottom-line growth by achieving volume targets, optimising channel margins, and reducing leakages. - Build and strengthen key B2B and B2C partnerships across Nigeria to improve market share. - Ensure high service levels and turnaround time through robust order fulfilment and inventory planning. Retail Expansion & Customer Service - Drive the development of exclusive Tyre retail outlets across key Nigerian markets. - Design customer-centric retail formats with focus on service experience, product range, and brand aesthetics. - Develop training modules for front-end staff and ensure SOPs to deliver high-quality tyre servicing and fitment. Team Building & Leadership - Build and lead a high-performing team across sales, marketing, technical support, and channel service functions. - Drive cohesion and cross-functional alignment within the tyre division and with DAGs central departments. Brand Building & Customer Orientation - Collaborate on brand campaigns and localised marketing initiatives to build brand affinity. - Regularly engage with key fleet operators, influencers, and trade bodies to build brand credibility. Governance, KPI, and Compliance - Prepare and monitor P&L, forecasts, business reviews and KPIs. - Ensure alignment with brand policies, DAGs commercial standards, and Nigerian regulatory norms. - Maintain a culture of integrity, compliance, and professional ethics. Ideal Candidate Profile Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field. - MBA from a reputed institute preferred. Experience: - 1015 years of experience in the tyre industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. - Prior experience in managing a leading international tyre brand. - Demonstrated success in building a tyre brand and network in African or comparable emerging markets.
