As a pivotal member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be entrusted with shaping and executing the financial strategy that underpins long-term value creation, operational excellence, and enterprise resilience across multiple markets in Southeast Asia. What you'll do: As Group Chief Financial Officer based in Kuala Lumpur, your remit will span every facet of strategic financial management for a diverse regional enterprise. Develop and execute robust long-term financial strategies that drive profitable growth, capital efficiency, and shareholder value across all business segments and geographies. Oversee group-wide financial reporting processes, internal controls frameworks, regulatory compliance (including Bursa Malaysia), and adherence to international accounting standards. Optimise capital structure and liquidity by managing disciplined capital allocation, treasury operations, diversified funding sources, and financing activities such as capital raising or debt restructuring. Serve as principal spokesperson for investors, analysts, financial institutions, and regulators by developing investor relations strategies that clearly communicate the group’s value proposition. Engage actively in integrated business planning processes to ensure alignment between demand, supply, finance, and operations for maximum profitability and agility. Lead financial due diligence for mergers & acquisitions (M&A), investment appraisals, new market entries, and commercial ventures throughout Southeast Asia. Oversee tax planning strategies—including cross-border compliance—and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities while adapting swiftly to regulatory changes. What you bring: To excel as Group Chief Financial Officer in this dynamic regional context requires not only deep technical expertise but also proven experience navigating multifaceted organisational landscapes. Your background should reflect substantial exposure to senior-level financial leadership—ideally gained within large-scale manufacturing settings where complexity is the norm. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline is essential for this role as it provides foundational knowledge required for success. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or MICPA is mandatory to demonstrate technical proficiency in global accounting standards. At least 15 years’ progressive experience in senior financial leadership roles within large-scale enterprises is required to navigate complex organisational structures effectively. Proven track record managing enterprise finance functions—including capital management and digital transformation—in manufacturing or agribusiness sectors is highly valued. Demonstrated ability to partner with Boards of Directors or C-suite executives on high-impact decisions ensures effective stakeholder engagement at all levels. Experience overseeing finance operations within complex matrixed environments—especially those subject to stringent regulatory oversight—is crucial for this position. Deep understanding of treasury management practices including cash flow optimisation strategies supports operational stability during periods of change. Expertise in leading M&A transactions from due diligence through integration phases enables successful execution of growth initiatives across borders. Strong interpersonal skills combined with collaborative leadership style foster trust-based relationships both within teams and externally with partners.
