Job Description : VP Mining (Open Pit Operations) Location: Central Africa Experience: 20 Years Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mining Engineering We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President – Mining to lead large-scale Open Pit Mining Operations in Central Africa. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in optimizing mine productivity, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and sustainability. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction and leadership across mining operations to achieve business and production goals. Oversee mine planning, production, safety, and environmental compliance. Drive innovation in operational efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of mining projects. Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Key Requirements: 15+ years of hands-on experience in Open Pit Mining, including senior leadership roles. Strong technical acumen in mine planning, operations, and resource optimization. Excellent stakeholder management with government, community, and partners. Prior experience in Africa or other international mining environments preferred. ?
